On-call Direct Care Companion

Description:
Variety of shifts available. Weekday evenings 3p-7p, weekday mornings 6a-9a, weekends 10a-6p, 12p-8p, 3p-11p or 7a-11p, Awake overnights on Friday & Saturday, Sleep overnight on Friday 10p-7a Saturday. Providing support to individuals with disabilities. Assisting in the daily care and needs of individuals including shopping, meal preparation, medication administration, transportation and community integration. $8.00-$10.00/hr. Sleep overnights available at $7.25/hr.

Responsibilities:
Provide necessary assistance to individuals with disabilities. Tasks may include meal preparation, household tasks, laundry, transporation, passing medications, implementing programs and record keeping. Accurate documentation of each individual. Maintain certification in CPR/First Aid, Abuse/Neglect Prevention, Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Behavior Management.

Requirements:
18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalency. Chauffeur's license. Experience with MR/DD population - a plus Criminal background checks and physical and drug screening.
